Mountain bikes were made for exploring the mountains, but here you can ride your bike through the mountain. We discovered a path through the abandoned and mysterious mining tunnels under Mount Peca. Led by a guide and equipped with helmets and flashlights you can safely ride from one valley to another on a more than 5 kilometers long underground path. Prepare to experience an unforgettable adventure.
Visitors board a genuine mining train which takes from the museum through the 3.5 km long Gačnik tunnel and up to Unionski vpadnik slope mine. From here you descend for 95 m and go down the stairs that lead to water. At this point, all visitors receive the necessary protective equipment (neoprene boots, life jackets and mining helmets with a flashlight). Then you enter a flooded shaft where special kayaks for three persons are already waiting for you. Your guide leads you along a small underground river until you reach the magical underground lakes almost 700 m below the surface. Visitors can now enjoy the peaceful and pristine water and explore the underground labyrinth, submerged tunnels and excavation sites. To end your journey, you will follow a narrow passage, paddle through some minor rapids and arrive back at the starting point.
In the afternoon we will move towards Logarska Valley
Logarska Valley is one of the most beautiful Alpine glacial valleys in Europe. It extends into the Kamnik-Savinja Alps from the north. A part of the Solčavsko region, tradition and nature have found harmony here, serving as a good example of sustainable development. As an added value to agriculture and forestry, tourism offers an opportunity for relaxation in the peaceful ambience of the landscape park as well as hiking, cycling, horseback riding, photo hunting, etc. The park has received a Future in the Alps Award from CIPRA for the successful management of a protected area. …
On the last day, we will adapt our activities to your time of departure from Ljubljana airport. If your plane leaves late in the afternoon, we will explore the valley on bicycles. At the end of the valley, there is a beautiful waterfall Rinka waiting for us, with a real slovenian Eagle's nest bar nearby.
